Volunteer

Little Wanderers NYC is always looking for dedicated, hard-working volunteers to help within our organization. Since we are a volunteer-based organization, we rely solely on volunteers to help us continue our rescue and life-saving efforts. If you have spare time to dedicate and want to get involved, here are ways to do so! If interested in any of the below, please contact us and specify what areas you are interested in helping with. Please ensure you are serious about taking on the time-commitment and task!

Rescue Efforts

We are always looking for TNR certified volunteers who have a trap or a car, and want to help us rescue within an area close to you. Please know that rescuing does not always go as intended, and may take a few hours or a couple tries. 

ASPCA Spay/Neuter Coordinators

We’re always looking for transport help on weekends to get cats to the ASPCA truck so they can be fixed, and transported back to their foster/adopter after the surgery.

To drop cats off at ASPCA, you need to be TNR certified. However, for transport only, all you you need is a car! 

Transportation Help

We always need transporters to help get our rescues to their vet appointments, foster homes, or forever homes. All you need is a car and some time to dedicate!

Adoption Events

We host several adoption events in various locations within New York on weekends. We are always looking for help attending these events, helping pair potential adopters to their forever kitties, and helping us spread the word about our organization. If you have time on the weekends, love to interact with people, and want to be involved in the adoption process, this is a good way to do so! 

Internal help within the foster or adoption teams

We receive several applications a day and are always looking for volunteers to help us process applications, field emails and work on other internal projects. If you are detail-oriented and a great communicator with some time to spare, please reach out!
